Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 12, 2026
1. Overview
DataPull AI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates a Chrome extension and web application that extracts structured data from webpages using artificial intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
2. Data We Collect
Webpage Content
When you use the extension to extract data, our content script reads the visible text and relevant HTML structure of the active tab (tables, lists, and main content areas, up to approximately 25,000 characters). This content is sent to our backend API solely to fulfill your extraction request and is not stored after processing is complete.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address. You may optionally sign in with Google, in which case we receive your name and email from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Usage Data
We record a count of how many extractions you have performed in the current billing period to enforce plan limits. We do not store the content of individual extraction results on our servers.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your credit card number or other payment card details. Stripe provides us with a customer identifier and subscription status.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To process your data extraction requests.
- To authenticate you and maintain your session.
- To track your usage against your plan limits.
- To manage your subscription and process payments.
- To send transactional emails (e.g., magic link sign-in codes). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate DataPull AI:
- Anthropic (Claude API)— Webpage content you submit for extraction is sent to Anthropic's API for AI processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy. By default, Anthropic does not use API inputs and outputs to train their models.
- Supabase — We use Supabase for user authentication and our database (storing your account profile and usage counters). Data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt) region. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — We use Stripe for payment processing. Your payment information is handled directly by Stripe and subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — Our backend API is hosted on Vercel. Request logs may be retained by Vercel per their standard infrastructure policies.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent necessary to provide the service.
6. Data Retention
Your account data (email, usage counts, subscription status) is retained while your account is active. Webpage content submitted for extraction is not persisted after processing. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us.
7. Chrome Extension Permissions
The DataPull AI extension requests the following Chrome permissions:
- activeTab — To read the content of the current tab when you click “Extract Data”. The extension does not access tabs you have not explicitly activated it on.
- storage — To store your authentication token locally so you remain signed in between sessions.
- Host permission (datapull-ai.vercel.app) — To communicate with our backend API for authentication relay and data extraction processing.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws, including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS encryption in transit and row-level security policies in our database. No system is perfectly secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to us promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
